About Astley Clarke

ACTIVE: 2011 – present

Built on the simple belief that every woman should be afforded the luxury of ‘Going Precious Every Day’, award winning Astley Clarke has changed the face of online jewellery retail.

Founded in 2006 by Bec Astley Clarke, the company’s UK and US websites now deliver its unique brand of fine jewellery to over 100 countries worldwide. And in addition to a dedicated London boutique, where a team of personal shoppers is on hand, Astley Clarke is now also available in Selfridges and Liberty.

Each piece of the company’s jewellery is designed in its London Design Studio, which is located above the West London boutique.  Here, Creative Director Lorna Watson and her team source gemstones from around the world, designing and prototyping each piece in the Astley Clarke collection.

About The Founder

Bec studied politics and philosophy for four years at Edinburgh University before beginning her fashion-tech career.

After a spell with a French agency responsible for buying in London, Paris and Milan, for the likes of Bergdorf Goodman and Lane Crawford, she joined Anderson Consulting working on technology-based projects. Positions at a number of internet companies then followed, including Tesco.com where she was head of online strategy.

Noticing that luxury brands, and jewellery brands in particular, were very slow to adopt an online presence, she saw an opportunity, and Astley Clarke was born.

Bec was included in Vanity Fair’s 2010 jewellery power list, and in 2013 was awarded Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) by Queen Elizabeth II for services to the jewellery industry.
