London-based Felix Capital is a new player in the world of venture funding. Founded in 2014 by former Advent Venture Partner’s tech investor Frédéric Court, who was named ‘Investor of the Year’ in Europe by his peers in 2012, the company’s mission is to support digital commerce, digital media and connected life start ups with global ambition.
The firm offers flexible capital, investing $100,000 to $10 million early, typically in first or second rounds, and initial Felix investments have included online fashion boutique aggregator Farfetch, The Business of Fashion industry news portal and streetwear e-tailer RAD.
About The Founder
A graduate of ESSEC in Paris and Bocconi University in Milan, Frédéric is fluent in English, French, Italian and Spanish.
He has worked in the technology industry for the past 18 years, initially as a technology banker in London and New York with Lazard, and then as an entrepreneur in France, building a VC-backed online marketplace for the textile industry.
His most recent position was General Partner with Advent Ventures in London, where he led investments in Farfetch, Zong (sold to eBay), Vitrue (Oracle), Dailymotion (Orange), Qype (Yelp), Fizzback (Nice Systems) and Ubiquisys (Cisco).
Frédéric is himself an active angel investor, supporting mainly digital lifestyle start-ups.
