In homage to the history of couture, Moda Operandi’s bespoke shopping experience includes unprecedented access to designs from established fashion houses as well as emerging labels, and hand-picked recommendations from a team of dedicated personal stylists.

Co-founded in 2010 by Vogue contributing editor Lauren Santo Domingo, Moda Operandi’s premium online services are now complemented by private client showrooms in Manhattan and London’s Belgravia, with additional bricks-and-mortar locations slated for Miami, Asia and the Middle East.

About The Founder

Raised in Greenwich, Connecticut, Lauren Santo Domingo received her education at the University of Southern California where she gained a degree in history.

Her career in fashion began at American Vogue, where she served as Associate Market Editor. She then took up the position of PR director at Paris-based J.Mendel, assisting with the launch of the brand’s Ready To Wear collection, and later helmed the PR department of Carolina Herrera for the Puig Group.

One of the most authoritative figures on New York’s fashion circuit, the Co-Founder of Moda Operandi is a muse to fêted fashion designers, such as Proenza Schouler, and has also featured on Vanity Fair’s International Best Dressed List.

In addition to bringing her extensive experience and industry relationships to Moda Operandi, Lauren has also returned to Vogue as a contributing editor.  She is an active philanthropist, regularly chairing charitable events such as the Frick’s Young Fellows Ball, and has also supported various movements including serving as co-chair of the annual Met Gala.
