About Unmade

ACTIVE: 2015 – present

EMPLOYS: 19

UNMADE is a revolutionary knitwear company  co-founded by Ben Alun-Jones, Kirsty Emery and Hal Watts, a dynamic trio who met while studying at the Royal College of Art.

Combining their backgrounds in textiles and technology, UNMADE has created a software platform for industrial knitting machines, allowing consumers to  design a garment from scratch and essentially ‘print’ knitwear on demand.

The fashion start-up was one of the first to be offered a co-working space at Somerset House in London, where a Christmas pop-up shop followed in November 2014, and their vibrant office in the building now houses three knitting machines and 22 staff.

UNMADE’s first concept store opened in London’s Covent Garden in November 2015.
