ABOUT THE FOUNDATION FOR THE SUPPORT OF THE UN
The Foundation for the Support of the United Nations (FSUN) is a non-governmental organization that collaborates with the United Nations to uphold its three pillars: peace and security, development and human rights by working with the UN Secretariat, programs, funds and agencies to spread information, raise awareness, improve education, develop policy advocacy and carry out joint projects. FSUN is in General Consultative Status with the UN Economic and Social Council, the highest accreditation for large international NGOs working with the UN and its entities.
Established in 1988, FSUN works with governments, funds and businesses to ensure universal access to education for all, sustainable economic development, create solid infrastructure to promote sustainable industrialization and activate global partners to invest capital and resources in building sustainable development.
With a laser sharp focus on helping achieve the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) by 2030, FSUN is currently invested and working on multiple SDG advocacy projects and campaigns. With projects in Japan, China, Brazil, Africa, Hong Kong, Thailand, the Philippines and the United States, FSUN is an invaluable partner to the United Nations and other global stakeholders in achieving a collective positive impact to humanity.
ABOUT THE EXECUTIVE CHAIRMAN & PRESIDENT
Janet C. Salazar is a social innovator, serial entrepreneur, speaker, writer, humanitarian and a global leadership strategist. Her fascination and energy is focused on the intersection and convergence of leadership, innovation, investment, partnerships, inclusion and philanthropy for equitable economies and social good.
Janet is the Executive Chairman and President, Chief and Permanent Representative to the United Nations and Permanent Observer to the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) at Foundation for the Support of the United Nations (FSUN). Appointed in 2006, Janet has built a solid ecosystem of deep connections and influencers in the global diplomatic community, and continues to be a strong voice for public-private partnerships inside the United Nations.
Janet is Chairman and CEO of Salazar Global Group (SGG), A Holding Company with subsidiaries in consulting, development, advisory, green technologies, health solutions and systems, distribution and licensing, cross-boarder investments. She is the CEO and Founder of IMPACT Leadership 21™, a global business platform providing leadership solutions and world class training on building inclusive and sustainable economies.
