Figue x Moda Operandi: Exclusive Shopping Evening In NYC

Figue Shopping Event

Craftsmanship has always been central to Carmen’s principles as an investor, mentor and entrepreneur. And it was her desire to support artisanal enterprise and help educate consumers about the stories behind the products that inspired the launch of CoutureLab, which for nine years served as a boutique, e-commerce and content site.

Today, Carmen’s reach extends much wider. But despite having outgrown CoutureLab, the philosophies and vision that originally motivated her remain the driving force behind her decisions, particularly the need to preserve craftsmanship and local skills and traditions, and to create awareness among consumers. And unsurprisingly, this ethos is also shared by the founders of many of the brands she supports, including Stephanie von Watzdorf and Sabina Schlumberger, the co-founders of New York-based luxury fashion label Figue.

Figue is known for its one-of-a-kind travel-inspired designs that celebrate the talents of local artisans. The luxe-boho label’s original prints, embroideries and hand-embellishments, as well as its distinctive accessories and jewelry, are produced by craftsmen and women from around the world. And on Tuesday, 10th April, Figue is partnering with luxury online retailer Moda Operandi to host an exclusive evening to preview a selection of the brand’s signature gowns and kaftans.

The shopping event at Moda Operandi Madison, Moda's private boutique just off Madison Avenue, will be an opportunity to not only preview the forthcoming Figue Luxe Collection, but to meet co-founder Stephanie von Watzdorf, and discover what makes the artisan-collective so special.

To attend, RSVP to madison@modaoperandi.com.
