ABOUT CULT BEAUTY

Founded in June 2008, Cult Beauty is a London-based e-commerce beauty retailer that expertly curates the greatest skin care, make up, hair care and wellbeing products from across the globe - from emerging indie brands (such as Milk Makeup and The Ordinary) to the long-established titans of the industry (like those under Shiseido and Estee Lauder’s umbrellas).

This, alongside its world-class editorial content, ever-growing scale, strong brand identity and community relationships differentiate the business from other players in the beauty space. Consumers come first to Cult Beauty because they depend on the brand to have filtered the very best products for them from the abundance of choice in the industry; it is more than a shop – it’s a beauty destination – through which to discover the next Holy Grail while replenishing time-honoured favourites.

Cult Beauty is committed to achieving long-term sustainable and profitable growth, while always cementing its ultimate mission: to become the world’s most trusted beauty retailer.

ABOUT THE FOUNDERS

Alexia Inge – Co-CEO
Following a career in fashion and beauty PR and journalism, Alexia Inge co-founded Cult Beauty in 2008, before becoming co-CEO in 2014. Singularly committed to curating a 'Beauty Hall of Fame', under Alexia's leadership Cult Beauty has become the go-to destination for beauty discovery – as well as for surfacing burgeoning brands and pre-empting the trends – featuring the very best products from all over the world.

The platform was built following Alexia's lifelong passion for beauty and her mission to create the most trusted beauty retailer in the world. As such, both she and the company champion grassroots innovation and cool, emerging talent from all facets of the industry. Beyond its ever-evolving collection of innovative products, Alexia is proud to lead thought-provoking, taboo-tackling conversations and is at the forefront of tracking and forecasting beauty trends, based on the platform's remarkable consumer insights. Alexia won the CEW Achiever’s Award 2020, Sunday Times International Track 200’s Oracle Business Leader of the Year 2020, and was listed by WWD as one of the 50 most forward-thinking executives shaping the future of the beauty industry. Alexia is also on the advisory board of the British Beauty Council.

Jessica DeLuca – Non-Executive Director
Jessica DeLuca is an entrepreneur and advocate for women’s rights and gender equality. She founded Cult Beauty with a mission to build the most trusted beauty retailer in the world and served as its CEO and Chairwoman from inception until 2014.

Jessica’s vision was to leverage technology to disrupt and improve the beauty buying experience by taking an education-first approach, incorporating expert recommendations and designing one of the first AI algorithms in the beauty industry. Cult Beauty championed the nascent indie beauty movement, bringing some of the most innovative, underground brands to market, changing the strangle-hold Big Beauty previously held over the industry. For her work, she was recognized by The Telegraph’s Enriched List for “bringing integrity to the beauty industry” and was named to Management Today’s 35 under 35.

In addition to her role as Board Director and Strategic Advisor at Cult Beauty, Jessica also serves as an advisor to several non-profit foundations and social enterprises dedicated to helping women in developing countries become financially independent through entrepreneurship. She is a Distinguished Speaker at USC’s Marshall School of Business and works with the British Consulate General to promote UK/US trade relationships.
