Dylanlex launched in 2012, and now the NYC-based jewelry brand has gained worldwide popularity due to Instagram. Founder Drew Ginsburg (below) essentially launched the brand on the social media platform, posting photos of her own collection of reworked bib necklaces to ascertain what works with her audience.
Formerly a fashion ready-to-wear designer, Ginsburg started designing her necklaces by layering, deconstructing, and reassembling jewelry she picked up on trips to Turkey, London, Tokyo, for a one-of-a-kind eclectic feel. She began lending her global nomad-type pieces to stylists, and quickly began to receive a stream of orders.
Each Dylanlex piece is hand crafted in NYC, using the expertise and craftsmanship of artisans gathered from across the globe, to create pieces that blend modern edge with the elegance of traditional techniques. Dylanlex necklaces are silver-plated and crafted from brass, copper, white bronze, and other mixed metals, plus hand-laid Swarovski crystals. Ginsburg designs each style on Photoshop before her team solders and finishes each piece by hand.
