Following the official announcement in the Queen’s New Year’s Honours List, founder, CEO and editor-in-chief of The Business of Fashion, Imran Amed, was awarded an MBE at Buckingham Palace yesterday.
The former management consultant was recognised for his services to fashion, after what began as a passion project from his sofa has grown into a global platform that today, serves as an essential daily resource for fashion creatives, executives and entrepreneurs alike.
“Every so often you have those moments that force you to step back and reflect upon your personal journey, the experiences that you have had and to be thankful for all the people who have supported you,” he shared on Instagram. “Receiving my MBE at Buckingham Palace with my family around me was an experience that I will never forget.”
